For all vintage home decor lovers now is the time to make the most of the warmer, lighter days by heading to one of the many vintage and antique markets across the UK. Aside from being a great opportunity to bag some vintage buys for your home and garden, they also make wonderful days out, with many being hosted in some of the countries prettiest places.

Top tip: Get there early and be ready to haggle and move quickly!

The South London Vintage Furniture Flea

Voted ‘Best Fair’ by the Vintage Guide to London, expect to dig-out affordable, top-notch items from cushions, crockery, glassware and ornaments to furniture from big names such as Ercol and G-Plan.

Malvern Flea & Collectors Fair

With the striking Malvern Hills as a backdrop, this is a place to be inspired. You’ll find quirky kitchen gadgets, antique silver and glassware and vintage hangings. It has a laid-back vibe that you can soak up over some local jams, jellies and hot chocolate.

The Leeds Vintage Furniture Flea

Root-out top quality and affordable homewares from cushions, crockery, glassware and ornaments to furniture from big names such as Ercol and G-Plan.

The Newark International Antiques & Collectors Fair

This is Europe’s largest antiques fair with a whopping 2,500 stalls and it attracts dealer and buyers from across the globe. You’ll find everything here from chandeliers and rugs, to paintings and antique furniture.

When: 7th April, 9am – 6pm, 8th April, 8am – 4pm

Shepton Giant Flea and Collectors Market

This fair has more than 200 stands selling items from toys, books and jewellery to ornaments, furniture and records. It also has a restaurant, burger van and pasty van so you can tuck into a Cornish classic while you track your treasures.

Located near the gorgeous Cathedral city of Lincoln, this market sells fine antiques, vintage treasures, glassware, china and art as well as a selection of bric-a-brac and salvaged goods.

Ardingly International Antiques & Collectors Fair

Ardingly has 1,700 stalls indoors and outdoors, that are brimming with antique furniture and ceramics. It’s reputed to be the place to go for top-notch European decorative items. Perfect for those vintage home decor treasures.

Sunbury Antiques Market

This market attracts many continental European dealers so as well as finding vintage gems including furniture, kitchenware, ceramics, garden items and home accessories, expect to stumble upon French farmhouse finds, Belgian chandeliers and rustic European furniture. It also attracts visitors as far afield as the US and Far East.
